Novel: "Like Prey"
First draft due date: Nov 11, 2026
Current progress: The world has been formed, the story has a mental outline. The first few chapters are written up to the main inciting incident. Core characters are established. Please continue to write or outline the story.
Thoughts: I'm having a lot of fun for this one. I know that when I'm done I'll have to give everyone proper names and figure out what genre this fits in; I'll have to look at more academic books to verify the cultural concepts I used and discover more that would better fit certain contexts. The "pantheon" could use more clarity, but on the other hand, I like how vague it is. After all, this world's interpretation of the diwata keeps them mystical and aloof. I've been using this project as a means to let everything loose and write trash, which makes me excited to edit the full thing.
Draw more
Goal: 2 full-color drawings a month. Doodle on the side, pick up a pen and get used to drawing again.
Current progress: a few drawings in production, but none that are full-color or have a clear narrative. Please have simpler ambitions and just draw a portrait. Focus on the basics.
Thoughts: I want to polish my drawing style, but I stopped my frequent drawing habits. I don't have any other thoughts, just the idea that I have to get back into drawing again.
Tools: G2 Pilot Ballpoint pens (0.5), pencil, alchohol markers (I'm trying), CLIPSTUDIO PAINT, MS Paint, and an old epen that I don't remember the name of.
Get up in the morning
Goal: Have a regular morning routine and commit to it for more than 3 months.
Current progress: Even now, I am procrastinating. This routine is simple, even special circumstances should be no problem. Please discipline yourself and do this bare-minimum routine, you can do it: you have done it before.
Thoughts: If I can do it, I can have a special treat...
Animate
I want to animate something on CSP. And I want to make music for it. I might make something like a silent film where all the dialogue is in subtitles at the bottom.
Read the books
Previously, I read a bunch of secondary source books about some old filipino traditions, but now I found a few that are academic. I should get through them.
Read the other books
I got a few physical books that I haven't finished or even picked up yet. I should read them before I buy more again.
Detangle
Since it's frequently becoming more and more hard to speak, I should do something about this mess.
